Lesson Overview

A brief summary of the lesson and the expected outcomes.

Overview Students will create "How to videos" for the Early Childhood campus. Students will determine a need and create the video. Examples being wash hands, lining up, use of scissors, and others.

Students will plan out scenes, what to say and then record, edit and finalize movie.

These movies will be given to ECC for their use as needed/reinforcement.

Engaging Questions

The task asks students to show their "know how" on something important and challenging, not just their knowledge.

Engaging /
Essential Questions
What does it mean to take something for granted?

Have you ever taken something for granted? What? How?

Can you remember (maybe you have a younger sibling) tasks you had in Kinder, first grade that were just so difficult. What were they? Do you even think about having to do them now? Why/Why not?

Authentic Learning

The task reflects what people might actually do in the real-world; including real life issues, themes, and problems.

Activities Students will brainstorm tasks that are difficult for small children. Students may contact a teacher from the Kindergarten campus.
