The History of Ray Farm

 

The Ray farm was bought Sept. 15, 1899 by Will and Callie Ray.  Will and Callie and their six sons (Ed, Ernest, Louis, James, Iley and Totty) worked on the farm. Mr. Will Ray died in 1903 of tuberculosis.  Baby Totty died when he was six years old.  Ed, Ernest, and James married and left the farm. Iley married Wilma in 1920 and they began farming. They were the parents of four children: Arla, born 1921; 
Doris, born 1923; Carl, born 1927; Curtis, born 1929.
