For the past 12 years, the students at Floresville Elementary have continued to give generously to this program, with the encouragement of their teachers and their parents. In total, the students have raised and donated $42,447.76. The average cost for a wish is $5,000 so you can see that our kids have paid for about 8 wishes since we first started. AMAZING!!! 2008-2009 This year we chose Luke Pollok as our Make A Wish child. His wish was tohave a HUGE inflatable slide in his front yard, as INFLATABLES are one of his greatest enjoyments, along with decorating his yard with Christmas inflatable.
We were so happy to send Make A Wish a check for $5,000.00 to help grant Luke's wish. Many of our students knew Luke and were very excited to work especially hard on this Wish.
2007-2008 AT our wish granting party IN MAY, we PRESENTED A CHECK FOR $8,000.00. Click here to see pictures of Jessica's wish granting princess party. Jessica is in kindergarten at the Early Childhood campus in Floresville. She is 6 years old and was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
2006-2007 WE PRESENTED SARAH GAYE CONNOR WITH A CHECK FOR $5000 TO MAKE A WISH. Local television stations came out to interview Robert Ferris and some of our students in May 2007 to help get the word out about Make A Wish. To see the check presentation from TV, click HERE.
