One characteristic of effective leaders is the notion of "gambare" as defined by Trinity University Professor Thomas Sergiovanni. “Gambare” means ‘to persevere, to do one's best; to be persistent; to stick to one's purposes; to never give up until the job is done and done well.’ Imagine a school, a city, or a Nation that never gave up until the students or citizens knew the mission was accomplished. 
 It is my wish if not my mission for this school to instill a sense of character in our children with the hope and confidence that all can be accomplished with GAMBARE and it is happening every day!  Two of our campuses have recently been named as recognized campuses. Floresville is the home of district champions, National Merit Scholars, award winning teachers, and most importantly, a community of extraordinary character.
