SkillsUSA has more than a quarter million student members annually, organized into 13,000 chapters and 54 state and territorial associations.

SkillsUSA prepares students by providing quality education experiences in leadership, teamwork, citizenship and character development. It builds and reinforces self-confidence, work attitudes and communications skills. It emphasizes total quality at work, high ethical standards, superior work skills, life-long education, and pride in the dignity of work. The SkillsUSA programs include local, state and national competitions in which students demonstrate occupational leadership skills and helps to establish industry standards for job skill training in the classroom.

Floresville welding, graphic communication and automotive students participate in the District 11 Leadership Conference held in Austin each year and also compete in District and State competitions. Advisors for each organization are:  Clifton Rogers-Welding, Debbie Stiefer-Graphic Communication, and Richard Halliburton-Automotive.
