Greeting from the Corps Commander:
C/ Col. Erik Camarillo:
Welcome to the Floresville AFJROTC
web page! I am the corps commander of our unit: TX20012. AFJROTC is unlike any
other organization on the campus. Our daily activities don't include running on
a field, playing an instrument, or computing math problems. Our activities range
from sitting in a classroom studying the history of aviation, to spinning a 9.5
pound rifle on a drill pad in 105 degree weather and everywhere in between. Here
at our AFJROTC Headquarters, we're forging better citizens for America. We're
not necessarily building soldiers as much as we are building students with a a
strong grasp on what it means to have sound character and good morals. We teach
discipline and respect. Now, we're not always serious, we like to have fun too,
and that is built in to our activities as well. This includes our military ball
and our annual picnic to name a couple. AFJROTC is all about motivation, and we
KNOW how to be motivated AND dedicated. Just ask anyone.
