Meet Board Member  Rachel Bonnie Peña

About Mrs. Peña:

Rachel is employed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, San Antonio Branch.  Rachel, her husband René, and their son René Angel are life-long residents of Floresville and graduates of Floresville High School.  
 
Reason for being a board member:  

I am a product and an advocate of the public school system.  FISD is a competitive and progressive school district that experiences an average growth rate of 3% per year.  I am committed in making sure that our school district offers a quality education to all students and that it provides a safe and challenging learning environment.

Community Involvement:  

• Board of Director – Consolata Healthcare Foundation, Floresville
• Community Supervision and Corrections Department Council (81st and 218th Judicial      District)
• Member & pianist of "El Mesias" United Methodist Church, Floresville
• Texas Council on Economic Education
• Treasurer - Beta Alpha Chi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi
