Abel's Myth Busting Webpage

My myth to bust will be the cartoon myth of babies floating off with about twenty balloons filled with helium. I am going to see how much 20 balloons filled with helium can actually hold.

Step 1:
My Hypothesis

My Hypothesis:
My hypothesis, for my myth would be that twenty balloons could hold not as much as a one-year-old baby, but as much  as new-born-baby.

Step 2:
Gather Necessary Supplies

The supplies I will need would be helium tanks, weights equal to a new-born-baby, weights equal to a one-year-baby, and twenty balloons.

Step 3:
Perform the Experiment

The process for my experiment is simple, all you have to is get twenty balloons, tie them to first light weights, put a little more weight until you get to the weight of a new-born-baby and one-year-old-baby, then, see if the weights float.

Step 4:

Chart your Results

I will chart my results on a graph.

First, we tied the twenty balloons to a cup. We filled that cup with pennies (we weighed them first) until the balloons dropped. As it turns out 20 balloons filled with helium can only hold approximately  66grams.
