Hi!  My name is Mrs. Borak.  I used to be Ms. Rupp, but I was married on July 26, 2008 which explains my name change :).  I was born in Dallas, Texas on June 10, 1979 which makes me 29 years old.  I lived in Maryland during my 5th grade school year, but our family quickly moved back home to the Dallas area...it was too cold there!  Since the town I lived in was still growing, I went to 3 different elementary schools.  My middle school years were a BLAST!  We were the McDonald Mustangs...purple and white.  I remember loving my art class.  We did lots of paintings with watercolor and acrylic and I learned lots of neat techniques.  My reading and language arts classes were fun, and I LOVED math!  I remember all of my teachers, too.  We called my science teacher "Mrs. Bazooka" like the bubble gum.  It was REALLY pronounced "Bazooka", although, it was spelled Bazucha, or someway like it.  My high school was R. H. Poteet High School...and NO, it is not in Poteet, Texas.  We were the Poteet Pirates...forest green, grey, and white.  I was very involved in the journalism and newspaper programs.  I was the photography editor for our school newspaper during all 4 years!  I loved working with the film and prints in the darkroom.  I was also somewhat involved in the drama club.  I played the part of the cyclone in our junior production of "The Wizard Of Oz".  I also did the photos for the programs for each play.  After high school, I went to college at Southwest Texas State University, which is now known as Texas State University...eat 'em up CATS!  There I studied geography.  I learned a lot about the earth's resources, the environment, and cultures.  After graduation I decided to try teaching.  And, I chose to teach middle school kids because they're learning to become young adults...and this time in their life is so precious.  I love to listen to my students...and sometimes, this is all they need...a good listening to.  In my free time I like to travel all over the U.S.  I love to go to concerts to see my favorite bands play.  I am also a big sushi fanatic!  Whenever I get bored, I like to read a good book or work on math and logic puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and do scrapbooking.  I am a pretty fun person, aren't I?

Here is my dog, Lucy.  Sadly, she passed away last summer.

And, this is Chloe Cat.
