*****The Bearstone Brochure Project will NOT be done in the internet lab this year due to a mix up with my computer lab dates.  We will still do this project in the classroom as a group activity, but it will be much different since we will not be researching the locations.  Please email me if you have ANY questions or concerns!

Your novel, Bearstone, by Will Hobbs, has many different settings.  Today, we are going to explore some of these settings by doing internet research.

YOUR TASK:

You are the owner of your very own Travel Agency.  You have been given the task of creating a travel brochure for one of the locations listed below.   You may use Microsoft Publisher or Microsoft PowerPoint, whichever you feel most comfortable with.  It is up to you to persuade your clients to visit the location!

ASK YOURSELF THESE QUESTIONS:

How will I organize my brochure?

What categories and headings will I use?

What information do I need?

Will the information attract travelers to this location?

Is the information helpful to the traveler?

YOUR DEADLINE

We will be in the computer lab on November 12, 13, and 14, Mon., Tues., and Wed.  You should be able to finish within these dates.  If not, you will have to go to the computer lab on YOUR OWN time to complete the brochure by Friday, November 30th.
