WELCOME!

Mrs. Guzman's Biography:

    My name is Terena Guzman and it is a great pleasure to teach here at Floresville Middle School.  I currently teach math and enjoy seeing my students connecting math with their own world. 

    Prior to teaching I held several positions in the banking and investment industry.  It was a lot of math and critical thinking. But it also gave me a greater appreciation for what I am doing now....teaching math!  It is my goal to show my students no matter what they choose to do in life, math is one of the skills that is universal and that it is not only always useful but that it can also be fun!

    Outside of teaching I enjoy playing soccer and kickball.  I am also somewhat of a musician, I played the alto saxaphone and am trying to rejuvenate that talent.  I am married to a wonderful man and we share our home with two dogs, a Black Lab and Great Dane.  We also enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends. 

    I enjoy seeing my students grow academically and socially.  I support the initiatives here at Floresville such as Character Education, College Awareness, and Preparation for a Prosperous Life.  It is my goal, along with the school and the district that every student is given the tools to succeed in life!
