Connie Turner "We believe in ourselves, our careers, and our abilities to make a difference. Teachers are the soul of the nation and every community. We help our children to discover themselves and their abilities. We encourage, instruct and reinforce academic knowledge. We teach life-long and marketable skills. We build young adults. We help kids to help themselves. The common goal of educators is to have all students be winners. Teachers work diligently so that every learner can excel in the classroom, and not only stay afloat, but learn to swim on their own. We must continue to believe that we are in this career of education for the appropriate reasons. A positive attitude is contagious. Keep smiling!" |

"One of the most important traits a teacher should cultivate is a real joy and excitement for learning. When The students realize that all the skills that they have learned can now be applied and they now have the power to read and write all on their own." |
"As a teacher, I believe
in teaching the student to keep trying and not give up until he "gets it". |
"The look on a child's face when he or she grasps a new concept is priceless. You can see "the light bulb go on." That look makes education and all the time and effort I put into it worthwhile." |
"Teaching is an art not an
act. Teaching becomes art when the knowledge is shared with the
students. |
