I graduated with a bachelor degree in Liberal Arts, majoring in Biology and earned my teaching certificate from the University of Colorado. My educational career has been heightened by being involved with the Texas Collaborative and our district LoTi program as a lesson writer, evaluator and technology trainer for the district. I believe my biggest and most significant contribution to education is my daily goal of supporting my students. This support is accomplished by holding them to high expectations of character and academics; establishing it through respect, patience, and motivation as well as listening to my students. Another important support aspect is to learn about my students outside of the academic setting. I try and do this by attending their extra curricular activities, and this shows the students that I truly care about them and their academics. My community service has aided my involvement with the youth in our area. I have served as a Floresville Middle School Science club sponsor, FMS Basketball scorekeeper, Floresville Little League board member, Floresville Little League softball coach, Wilson County Spurs and MAYB basketball coach for several years. I have been married for 22 years; my husband and I have two wonderful children; Jessica 17 and Daniel 14. Our interests as a family are spending time with our families and participating and watching a variety of sports.
