Jaguar Volleyball Area Finalists

The Jaguar Volleyball Team had a successful season finishing district play with a record of 11-5 sending them to the playoffs. In the first round, the Jaguars beat Burbank 3-0, earning them a spot in the Area final. At season’s end, the Jags had an overall record of 31-12 and several district awards.

According to Coach Tara Dunn, one of the secrets to their success was the team’s chemistry.

“The Varsity team had amazing chemistry!  They enjoyed being around each other and loved competing for each other. This made practice and games more exciting because we were able to focus on the task-at-hand together as one,” she explained.

During the season, volleyball taught our student-athletes some important life lessons. Dunn said, “I am very proud of how my girls stepped up physically and mentally. We learned how to fight even when our opponent is bigger, or better on paper. Bottom line, we competed and fought until the very end.”

As great as this season was, Coach Dunn is also optimistic about the next season. She said, “We are sad to see the seniors go, but very excited for the returning girls to step up and fill in those gaps! The future looks very bright for Jag Volleyball!
