Floresville ISD will return to a full face-to-face instructional model for the 2021-2022 school year. After careful consideration, the district has decided not to offer remote learning for the 2021-2022 school year. The decision was made to discontinue remote learning for two primary reasons, the first being lack of interest. After surveying remote learning families, over 93% indicated they would return to face-to-face learning. The small number of remote learners spanning a variety of grade levels makes the sustainability of a remote learning model difficult. Another consideration is the lack of action regarding the funding of remote learning by the Texas Legislature. Currently, the legislature has neither outlined requirements for remote learning nor approved funding for it. FISD looks forward to having all of its students on campus, learning face-to-face.
