Floresville ISD names Early Childhood Center Principal

Dear Floresville ISD Family,

I am pleased to introduce Dr. Monica Schlueter as Principal of the Early Childhood Center (ECC). She was selected from a talented candidate pool in a competitive process. She is well known to our school community as she currently serves as the Instructional Coach at Floresville North Elementary. Dr. Schlueter will work with administrators at both North and South elementary schools to ensure a smooth relocation of the Pre-Kindergarten program.

“I consider myself beyond blessed to have the opportunity to serve FISD in a leadership capacity! I embrace the opportunity to lead ECC on this new adventure as we start our ECC family,” said Dr. Schlueter.

Dr. Schlueter began her educational career in 2006 and has served as a teacher, assistant principal, collegiate faculty, and instructional coach. She holds a Bachelors in Business Administration and Masters in Educational Administration from TAMU-K and a PhD in Leadership Studies from Our Lady of the Lake University.

Dr. Schlueter has a passion for growing people academically, emotionally and socially.

“I am committed to the development of our staff and our little learners so they can achieve their personal and professional goals. We, as leaders and teachers, inspire others, unveil untapped potential, and come alongside one another to reach far beyond what we ever imagined,” added Dr. Schlueter.

Dr. Schlueter lives in Floresville with her two children and enjoys spending time outside, DIY projects, and new recipes.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Schlueter upon her selection as the Principal at the Early Childhood Center.

Sincerely,

Jason Gilstrap, Ed.D.
