February Students of the Month

February Female Student of the Month

Corinne Pawlik is the 18-year-old daughter of Olivia Bailey and Kevin Pawlik.  She is ranked 7th in her class with a 4.0 GPA. 

Corinne is very involved in FHS activities.  She is a member of Link Crew, the Gifted and Talented program and serves as the Secretary for the National Honor Society.  She received the Geometry and BIM Academic Awards and has been on the All “A” Honor Roll her entire high school career. Corinne is a former member of the Basketball, Volleyball, Track and Cross Country teams.

Corinne works as a second-grade teacher’s aide at the South Elementary.  She also works a part-time job at Maverick’s restaurant.  In her spare time, Corinne finds time to volunteer at her church. Hobbies-Reading, Hiking, Going on adventures and loves the beach. 

Corinne will complete the 24-hour challenge graduating with enough college hours to enter college as a sophomore. Corinne plans to attend UTSA or Texas A&M College Station where she intends to major in Accounting.  Her strengths are Restorative, Input, Discipline, Intellection and Developer.

 
February Male Student of the Month

Josiah Hernandez is the 18-year-old son of Diana and Guadalupe Hernandez.  He is in the top quarter of his class and very active at FHS and in the community.

Josiah is an active member of the National Honor Society and the Academic UIL team participating in Spelling & Vocabulary and Current Events.  He participated with the cross country, basketball and track teams his freshman, sophomore and junior years. He is also active in the community serving as King Reboog of the Floresville Peanut Festival Court of European Elegance.  He is active in his church Teen ACTS group with St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.  Josiah has served his community by volunteering at Floresville South Elementary School, the veteran’s home and CAST of Wilson County.

       Josiah works as a Co-op student in the high school front office.  Josiah would like to pursue a degree in History and Physical Education at Texas A & M University College Station or The University of Texas at San Antonio. His strengths are Communication, restorative, Adaptability, Competition, and Includer.
