On Thursday May 10th, FISD held two Community Forums in which attendees conducted a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) Analysis. To lay the groundwork for the work ahead, staff, parents, students and community members discussed data, articles, and videos that gave more information about developing 21st century skills in students. Stakeholders then identified strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for the district as FISD strives to transform its work in schools to place the emphasis on developing of students into voracious, continual learners in this time of unprecedented change, innovation and social challenges.
