Campus Access Control Procedures

As Floresville ISD starts the 2018-19 school year, the safety and security of our students and staff continues to be a major focus.  In addition to hiring new police officers, which will allow an officer to report to each campus, we are also in the process of installing a new buzzer/camera system on each of our campuses. This system will provide controlled access to schools during the school day by placing an electronic lock on the door at the front entrance.  Please be patient and plan accordingly, as this additional layer of security may add a few minutes to a campus visit.

  • Locate the intercom/camera at the main (front) entrance
  • Press the “PUSH” button on the intercom
  • Please be sure you are in front of the camera on the panel
  • Someone will see you and will respond verbally
  • You will be asked who you are here to see and to show an ID. Please hold the ID so that it is viewable. Acceptable ID’s include:
    • Driver’s license
    • Floresville ISD (or other school) ID badge
    • Student ID
    • Passport or other government issued ID
  • The door will be unlocked for you to enter the building
  • Please do not allow other visitors to enter with you
  • All visitors will then report to the office to check in and be issued a visitors badge
