Student Assessment
Floresville ISD follows a three step process to identify a student as gifted and talented; referral, assessment, and identification. All kindergarten students are screened for gifted and talented services. Once a student is referred and assessed, he/she is referred to the G/T committee, which is composed of a campus level administrator, regular teacher (s), and or gifted and talented teacher(s), counselor(s), and a district level administrator. All committee members will have completed 6 hours of training in the nature and needs of gifted and talented students.
