Floresville ISD is pleased to announce that Stephanie Cruz has been appointed as the new principal of Floresville North Elementary, effective July 1, 2025.

Mrs. Cruz comes to FNE with over 18 years of experience in education. She brings a deep commitment to academic excellence and student-centered instruction. Over the years, Mrs. Cruz has served as a teacher, assistant principal, Bilingual/ESL coordinator, science coordinator, and principal of an elementary school.

“It is a tremendous honor to step into the role of principal at Floresville North Elementary,” said Mrs. Cruz. “As a proud resident of Floresville, I am deeply committed to the success of our community, and I look forward to building strong partnerships with families, staff, and students to ensure Floresville North Elementary thrives.”

Mrs. Cruz holds a master’s degree in Education Technology Leadership from Lamar University and is certified in multiple areas, including Elementary Generalist, ESL and Special Education. She is known for fostering collaborative relationships with staff, students, and families, and for using data-driven practices to support student achievement.

“My goal is to build upon the school’s existing strengths while cultivating a culture of academic excellence, creativity, and meaningful community connection. I am excited to work in partnership with all stakeholders to ensure that Floresville North Elementary remains a place where every child can grow, achieve, and succeed,” Mrs. Cruz added.

She lives in Floresville with her husband and three children, all of whom attend school in Floresville ISD.
