Floresville ISD announced the Teachers and Students of the Month for October.
Yvette Espinosa, Pre-K teacher at the Floresville Early Childhood Center, has been named one of two Teachers of the Month.
Mrs. Espinosa is a proud graduate of the University of Texas and the University of Texas at San Antionio, and has been teaching for 24 years. She has previously taught in Crystal City, Alice, Corpus and Leander ISD. She moved to Floresville in 2021 and joined our Floresville ISD team in January of 2023.
Her principal, Diana Wagner, says Mrs. Espinosa is the teacher she sends all of her staff to when it is time to train and "see how it’s done."
"She has a lot of experience and tricks up her sleeve when it comes to our littles," Mrs. Wagner said. "She incorporates quality teaching along with appropriate Pre-K strategies and techniques."
Mrs. Espinosa is described as having a very calm disposition and knowing everything about her students. She has a great relationship with the families and can offer advice, feedback, and suggestions on just about anything to any one of her colleagues. She has great attendance, attention to detail and is always very very positive.
Mrs. Espinosa makes every effort to ensure her students are safe, treated kindly, and learn as much as possible with her.
"She is a joy to work with and an amazing teacher and mentor for fellow teachers," said Mrs. Wagner.
